Drivers leaving the Southside heading to the Peninsula Interstate 64, are used to delays during their commute. But, today things were much worse than usual.

This morning drivers were sitting on a bumper to bumper parking lot.
It was so bad, some drivers even got out of their cars to get some fresh air.
Many were looking around, trying to figure out what was causing the back up.

State Police say there was a four car accident inside the Hampton Roads Bridge Tunnel.

Even though no one was hurt, it tied up traffic for more than an hour.

The crash is still under investigation.
