The Cancer Center for Healthy living has a message for men...get your prostate checked at least once a year.

The Cancer Center and the Peoria Chiefs teamed up to host Prostate Cancer Awareness Day today.
The baseball team wore light blue jerseys in recognition of the event.
The goal is to inform fans about the seriousness of the disease.

Matt George of the Cancer Center for Healthy Living said, "It's just affects so many people and there's just so much of it going on now that whether it be our organization, the others in town, everybody's effected by cancer in one way or another. It's just a great cause".

Prostate Cancer Awareness Day was held on father's day because the team expected a big turnout.
The table provided informational pamphlets and facts regarding prostate cancer.
