One killed in crash in west Orlando

A Winter Garden man was killed during a traffic accident late last night in west Orlando.

Salvador Delgado, 63, was thrown from his 1993 Nissan after another car turned in front of him on W. Colonial Drive, according to Orlando Police.

Officers say that Llewedj L. Clarke, 42, was turning left onto northbound Fairvilla Road from eastbound W. Colonial Drive, when Delgado struck him.

The force of the impact sent Delgado's car spinning and rolling. He was thrown from the car into the road.

Clarke's Oldsmobile began to spin and was hit by another car, a 1997 Chrysler driven by Colby Hentges.

Orlando Fire Department had to cut open Clarke's car to get him out. He was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center where he was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit, according to Orlando Police.

Delgado died at the scene, the 16th traffic fatality this year in Orlando. Hentges was not injured.
