Man dies in M8 pile up

One man has been killed and three others have been injured in a four car pile up on the M8.

The accident happened on the outskirts of Edinburgh near Hermiston Gate this morning.

It is thought two cars travelling east collided and crossed the central reservation crashing into two other vehicles on the westbound carriage way. The motorway is currently closed between junctions one and two and is expected to remain shut for the next hour or so.
